THE TEMPEST
Twelves years ago, a sorcerer and the right Duke of Milan, Prospero, was usurped from his Dukedom by his brother, Antonio, and the King of Naples, Alonso, and banished to a remote island. He lives on the island with his daughter Miranda, and his two servants — Caliban, an inhabitant of the island, and Ariel, an airy spirit.
One day, Alonso and the other members of his court - including Antonio - are traveling on a ship right next to the island Prospero escaped to. Using his magic and with the help of the island's spirits (led by Ariel), Prospero conjures up a tempest and shipwrecks the King and his court on the island.
What ensues is a play of magic and mystery, full of Shakespeare's best: young lovers, political turmoil, drunken fools, and a sorcerer enacting his revenge on those who wronged him.
