What one gives is what one gets...

Macbeth, a noble Scottish lord, is shown his future towards power by the three Weird Sisters. His bloody ambition and ruthless wife spur him on with complete and utter abandon to achieve the throne ... but everything comes at a price. Charting Macbeth's rise to power and consequential downfall, Shakespeare's thrilling play is produced as an elevated staged reading in celebration of the spookiest time of the year.

Playwright Migdalia Cruz's modern verse translation of MACBETH was part of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s Play On! Project, a national initiative engaging 36 diverse playwright and dramaturg teams with the goal of broadening access for contemporary audiences of Shakespeare's 39 plays.
